Visa Information

An international delegate (whether or not you require a visa) must have a passport which remains valid for 6 months after departure from South Africa. There must be 2 adjacent ‘Visas’ blank pages in the passport. The Congress Secretariat has notified the South African Department of Home Affairs regarding 9th WCEAM 2014, and the notification has been appropriately extended to all South African Embassies.

In order to apply for a visa, you will need an invitation letter.  Upon registering for the Congress (www.regonline.com/9wceam2014), you can tick the relevant block.  Invitation letters will be sent on the following

– the delegate has submitted a paper which was accepted for presentation

AND/OR

– the delegate has registered on the congress website

AND

– we have received full payment for the registration fees

AND

– we have received proof of accommodation in South Africa for the duration of the Congress.

Delegates who require a congress letter of invitation for visa application should send an email to thereza@technoscene.co.za, providing name, address, passport number and issuing country.

Venue for Tutorials and Workshops

The venue for tutorials and workshops will be the Graduate Centre, University of Pretoria Main Campus.

Venue for Plenary, Keynote, Panel and Paper Presentations

The venue for the plenary, keynote, panel and paper presentations will be CSIR ICC Pretoria.
